On the evening of September 5th, the automatic sprinkler systems on the floor above VTG's offices were set off after a malfunction that led to flooding and property destruction on 3 floors of the building. The problem was complicated by the fact that an auto-shutoff did not operate as expected, resulting in wall and flooring damage and 3-6 inches of water in our offices and storage area after several hours of flooding. The building has been closed for most tenants and will be undergoing renovation expected to last through December.
Thankfully, none of VTG's systems were affected as all of our business operations are optimized for our remote workforce and we have continued to function without incident. Water damage mitigation will be completed by October 19th, and our offices are slated for repairs so that we can get back in shortly!
We'd like to thank everyone who expressed their concerns, and will post pictures of the new, 'fresh' VTG office when we get back in!
